Poverty

Don't know how many of you were in church on Sunday, but if you weren't, you missed out!!

The youth band rocked the house and introduced us to a great new song: God of this City. Many things are yet to be done in this city!! I also heard we have three brand new members of the body of Christ. So exciting!

Props to our own Frank who shared his testimony with everyone. I was impressed with his desire to grow closer to God while still honoring the wishes of his parents. The true mark of someone with a heart for the things of God.

We also heard from Steve Moen of Living Hope Ministries in Minneapolis who told us that there is no word for poverty in the Bible. Interesting. He said that 'poverty' in the Bible always indicates a lack.

What are you lacking today, Fairy Followers? After that service yesterday I'm feeling pretty full, I must say, but there are still things lacking in our lives. Do you seem lacking in fellowship with other believers? Bravery to share the things of Christ? Self-esteem to love yourself as Christ loves you?
