Dear Fairy Followers,
I started a new book on Saturday night called "The Chosen" by Ted Dekker. "The Chosen" is the first of a series of Young Adult novels that Dekker has written as companion pieces to his enormously popular "Red," "White," and "Black" novels.
The premise of the book is that there are seven pools in seven forests in an Earth 2000 years in the future. The pools provide healing and are guarded against The Hoard who don't believe in the power of the water. The forest dwellers believe in and serve a loving, powerful God called Elyon and call their worship of God "The Great Romance."
When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was he said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength." It's easy to read over that and think, yeah, read it before. But are you living up to it? Do you love God with that intensity?
Do you plan dates with God? Do you dress up for him? At least put on deodorant? What is your romance with Him like?
